Getting ready for 2019 Brides!!

BOW_DigitalBadge_2019_120x120.png

This year was my second year being listed on The Knot and my second year receiving the Knot Best of Weddings! I am so grateful to everyone who took the time to leave me a review. I know when I am shopping around for ANYTHING I go to the reviews first. This is super helpful for me as a vendor and for prospective brides wanting to get other’s opinions.

Some of my 2018 brides and bridal parties..

I love looking back at the pictures and reliving all the glam and the many sweet moments. I am so lucky to work with such beautiful and warm people. Thank you thank you!

New things in 2019

2019 is going to be a busy wedding season and I can’t wait! I will be adding some new artists to the team to prepare for the larger bridal parties. I have very high standards so I make sure to bring only the best artists to help.

I am also going to be offering hair accessories available to purchase for the wedding day. I am currently adding to my collection so there will be plenty of options!

As always, I am continuing education and practicing new styles and techniques so that I can be at the top of my game. I am constantly playing with new products too to make sure that my kit is comprised of only the best performing products.

Looking forward to the many new faces of 2019. Happy holidays everyone!

Makeover and photo shoot in Orange County with model Jhoanne

Last fall I moved back to Orange County from Texas after being away for six years. The weather is so refreshing and the beautiful scenery is endless, which makes me want to be outside all the time! I met recently with model Jhoanne (also from Orange County) to do an outdoor photo shoot right in my corner of Laguna Hills. The natural setting makes for a great backdrop to the photos.

Makeup - Earth Tones

Jhoanne is obviously gorgeous and I can't get enough of her smile!! For her eye makeup, I used some Yaby pearl paints and eyeshadows in green, gold, and warm brown colors to go along with the surrounding earth tones. I applied some extra long lashes to really lift and open the eyes. For her blush and lips I chose fairly natural colors - Rimmel nude lipliner with a little Mac creme cup lipstick in the center, and Mac Melba blush on the cheeks. To create a soft glow on the cheeks, I added Becca's highlighter in Champagne Pop

BOLD Dark Blue Eyeshadow - Makeup and Photography by Veronica

In my spare time I have been working on improving my photography skills. Here are some photos from a recent session with this lovely model Seinne. Like me, she also an OC local!

I wanted to try a look that was new for her, so we went with this dramatic dark blue/purple smoked out eyeshadow with a little sparkle. I placed individual lashes for a "less fake" but FULL fringe. Her skin was pretty flawless to begin with; I just helped to bring out her skin to a smooth, almost buttery finish using my favorite Kett Fixx creme correctors and foundations. The glow on her cheeks was achieved using MAC soft n gentle. To get that super shiny lip, I mixed some Mehron metallic gold powder with OCC clear lip tar.

I hope you enjoy the photos! Will be posting more from recent shoots soon!

Bridal Party Makeup

Wedding makeup for Mother of the Groom and family.

Here are some photos from my last wedding I worked on in Texas, right before leaving for California! I did the makeup for all of the ladies in the photos, and hair was done by Erica Marni Edwards (based out of Houston).

Some of them chose to have their makeup airbrushed, while others did not. I love working with both traditional and airbrush makeup and can achieve similar results with both. Some people don't like the experience of feeling air blowing on their face, while others find it refreshing.  If you are a bride wondering which way to go, a bridal trial is a good way to test both out.

Enjoy the rest of the photos! Photos taken by Amanda Freeman Photography.
