Romantic Hair and Makeup for Vanessa's Wedding!

I can't get enough of Vanessa's gorgeous wedding photos!! The Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club was the perfect backdrop for this dreamy wedding. I think the makeup and hair Vanessa chose complimented the scenery so well!

Bridal Hair & Makeup

Vanessa's up do was a very loose romantic style with curls set at the base of her neck.

For Vanessa's eye makeup, I applied shimmery rose gold eye shadows with a full set of lashes. Her foundation was airbrushed on with Temptu s/b foundation for a luminous finish. Her lipstick was MAC Cremecup - one of my favorite soft pink bridal lip colors!

Gorgeous bride!!

Her bridal party looks straight out of a magazine!

Vueset Palette Review

Vueset Tahiti Palette - Makeup Artist Tools!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE looking at other artist's kits and especially how they organize said kits ;)

I just recently purchased the Vueset Tahiti Palette from Camera Ready Cosmetics. Vueset offers several different options of empty acrylic palettes that are designed for makeup artists and hair stylists. These little containers are stack-able and perfect for condensing your makeup kit! As a professional whose makeup kit sees a lot of travel and wear, I am always looking for the best way to simplify and lighten my load.

I'd seen Vueset containers for some time now, and since my Makeup Forever Palette that was storing my Kett foundations has finally given way, I decided to make the switch to Vueset.

I just bought the Tahiti palette as a test for now, but I am loving it so much I am going to go back and buy some more! Looking at the palette it doesn't seem like it would hold that much - but surprisingly each well holds a full 7 grams of product! That's more than enough room for your average lipstick, and perfect for my Kett Fixx creme refill pans.

You can see that the Tahiti palette has spaces for 24 different colors. The palette is very sturdy and snaps tightly closed. I know some artists have successfully use these palettes to store their loose pigments and even cream shadows/liners, so you know its got to be air-tight!

My Rating: 5/5!

Waterproof Makeup - Rania's Bridal Makeup

I am loving these pictures from Rania's wedding! She is such a beautiful and sweet person, I am so glad to have been her makeup artist. Rania and I had spent quite a bit of time at her trial trying on several different eye looks and took pictures of each look so she could decide which one suited her best.

Rania's Wedding Makeup:

We settled on a look that highlighted her lid with a soft sparkling white color. I smoked out the crease and lower lash line with muted purple tones to further emphasize her eye shape. For extra drama, I lined her eyes with black waterproof gel liner and stacked two false lashes on top of her own.

For her foundation, I airbrushed waterproof makeup, Kett Hydro Proof.  I used different airbrush colors to highlight and contour her face. For blush, I used Kett's waterproof creme blush - I am in love with their creme blushes! I used MAC's soft & gentle to add some glow to her cheeks, and on the lips I filled in the lip entirely with Rimmel's thousand kisses lip liner (long lasting) and put some MAC lipstick in creme cup on the center to add a little highlight.

I stayed the majority of the wedding to be on hand for hair and makeup touchups (hair originally styled by Abby Kawaja). It was a beautiful wedding that took place in an elegant wedding venue that went perfectly with Rania's hair, makeup, and dress!
